What is HitFilm?

HitFilm gives you everything you need to be an editor, VFX artist and colorist. It merges a non-linear editor with advanced 3D compositing and over 180 effects, plus mocha tracking from Imagineer and 130 plugins for your other video software.

·         Scopes panel

Get a detailed look at the color elements and grading in your footage with the Scopes Panel. You can even render out your Scopes panel on a layer from the software - a feature unique to HitFilm Pro.

·         Vectorscope

Vectorscope precisely identifies skin tones so you can adjust coloring and saturation. See when color has been removed, how much tint you’re adding and what color you need to achieve the perfect white balance.

·         Waveform viewer

HitFilm Pro’s Waveform viewer lets you see your world in black and white levels to identify areas requiring brightness correction. In the layer-specific view setting, you can even compare channel separation for green screen work.

CAMERATRACKER for After Effects® plugin allows you to pull 3D motion tracks and matchmoves without having to leave After Effects. It analyses the source sequence and extracts the original camera's lens and motion parameters, allowing you to composite 2D or 3D elements correctly with reference to the camera used to film the shot.

You can now match camera moves within Adobe® After Effects®' 2.5D environment, opening up new, robust options for the placement of composite elements. Create Fringe / Heroes style 'in scene' titles, insert animated design elements, match-move virtual set extensions, motion-track projection mapping and much more.

This 3D motion tracking technology was previously only available in NUKEX, The Foundry's high-end film compositing tool. You can now do all this in Adobe® After Effects® without exiting your application.
